Hi All,

I had a question on the differences between
Chess Assistant 7.1 and Chess Academy

Chess Assistant 7.1 and Chess Academy programs have a lot of in common.

The doubtless pluses of Chess Assistant are the following:
1) Presence of a strong playing program Chess Tiger 15 (it is one of the best programs in the world).
2) Compatibility with Internet Chess Club.
3) Presence of the Opening Encyclopedia.
4) Possibility of games receiving weekly free of charge (2500 each week).
5) More advanced features in Analysis, Tree and Search rates.

A plus of Chess Academy is a presence of Additional Training/Tutorial Features.

A detailed comparison of Chess Assistant (previous version, it leaves out some new features), ChessBase 8.0 and Chess Academy, made by well-known chess expert Robert Pawlak, is available to the address:

i know both these products well and they are very different -- do not compete with each other.
Training features, where they exist in chess assistant-- are very new features. Convekta prefers to sell seperate training programs.
ChessAcademy is all about training, and can run many engines. While no program could compete with ChessAssistants Trees, ChessAcademy has great positional search features with wildcards. Also an extraordinary opening key set, which is great for studying 'tabiya' and to play from.

Did I also mention that the training modules for ChessAcademy include the complete 5-volume Informant Encyclopedia of Chess Endings and also the old Informant "Red" book of tactics called 'encyclopedia of middlegames?"
Try to get an electronic license on such quality material now! No one can comnpete with chess Academy for this.
