Post subject: Studio Anne Carlton Set. Real or Fake?!?!
PostPosted: Sun Mar 02, 2014 11:43 pm
Hi,

I recently obtained what I think is an Anne Carlton set.

The box is very old, I'm guessing cello-taped shut since the mid 80's. The contents, were wrapped individually in paper.

But although the box says Anne Carlton, the pieces, especially the dark ones, are terribly finished!

It's as if the recessed parts have taken the brunt of whatever wear there is, and look as if they have a powdery white coating on them, or maybe even the finish is worn away...

I was wondering if this is a copy?

Any help gratefully appreciated,
Rob.

SAC makes wonderful chess pieces. These look nothing like their quality. I would think someone just wrapped them in a SAC box.

I hope that helps!
