Its already available the ´Driver (Novag CITRINE) for GNU/Linux.

You can lower it here:

http://www.nongnu.org/novagdrv /

At the moment the installation is a little laborious (but it is well documented), if you need help you contact with me.

It is well proven, it already works very well, even better than driver ARENA for windows; I Take time playing for Internet in the FICS with him without any problem.

Oliver, would thank you that publishes it in the foreign forums that you mention.

I expect comments from who proves it, a greeting!

What chess programs have algebraic interfaces?
I am interested in a chess program (preferably freeware) that will allow me to use algebraic notation in order to select my moves and will only display the progress of the game in algebraic notation in order to follow the moves of the computer. This could be considered a form of "blindfolded chess" training, but I haven't yet seen a helpful suggestion for that, except that you should use a program with an algebraic interface, never mind whether there are any particular ones in existence!

Algebraic notation is the standard notation for all current chess programs, both short and long. A few were or are still able to offer other formats, like descriptive (Chessmaster was one) and correspondence. Arena Chess is a good interface catering a host of chess engines. You can download it here, together with the engines: http://www.playwitharena.com/
