The great traditional opening to the chess year is underway in Wijk Aan Zee. Any predictions for a winner in the A group?

Nakmuara got off to a great start in round one, but find it hard to see the winner coming from outside the big four of Anand, Carlsen, Aronian and Kramnik.

An amazing +5 score by Nakamura to win ahead of Anand - wow! Kudos to Nakmaura on a fantastic result.

The real question is: will this be the first of many successes for the American, or will it mark a high point that he will never equal again???
