I didn't know him personally, but like so many memories made in my youth, I heard a lot about him when I was young, first starting to play.

He was a great player in his own right, but perhaps his most notable accomplishment would be in helping Fischer train for Reykjavik.

Sucks getting old. Funny how things you learn at a young age stick with you more, inlcluding how you feel about people you were introduced to or knew then. Memories get a little thinner when you get older.
