Post subject: Loss of "view posts since last visit" option
PostPosted: Fri Mar 30, 2007 11:04 am
Hi all,
In the last couple of days the screen that I see when I enter the forum list has changed. At the top right hand corner of the screen, I no longer see the "view posts since last visit" option. Any ideas on why this is ? I always used this option when visiting the forum and found it very useful. As far as I know, no settings have been changed on this PC i.e. in my place of work, nor on my home PC, on which the same option is also missing.
Adam

Hi Adam,

The option is still there. Of course you have to be logged in to see it, but I assume you already knew.

If the problem persists, did you try to empty your Internet cache or try F5 to refresh the page?

Thanks Jeroen,
Forcing a log in worked. However, I don't understand why the ticked box to automatically log in on each visit didn't work. Anyway, cured now and many thanks for your very rapid response, Adam

Hi Adam,

This happens to me occasionally as well and I'm not sure why. :? I think it's something to do with my PC and not this website.

However, it's no trouble as my password is saved and I just have to click once to log in again. :)

Same here :)

I think it has to do with the forum settings... I've never had a phpBB forum on my own site, so I don't know for sure, but maybe the forum settings are set to let the cookies (user/password combination) expire after, say, 30 days.

Still, that doesn't explain for the fact that sometimes I have to log in twice a week, and sometimes only once a month
