The games I play against Fritz 12 are not being saved in autosave.cbh data base on the program but rather are being saved to Myinternet tactics database. How do I activate or implement autosave? Note, the autosave data base did not appear in the Fritz data base location until I used Fritz for several days. However the autosave.chb was in the loose files of Chessbase before this. I am pretty weak with computer stuff.

Thx,

Ed

Just to be certain: with "not being saved" you mean _automatically_ saved? If you have problems with that, it's certainly not normal. You could try to close Fritz, copy all the autosave files from this database to another location then delete all autosave.* files. Restart Fritz and maybe the files are now automatically saved in this database again. In that case the database must have been corrupted.

Yes, the games I play against Fritz 12 are not being autosaved. I have deceided to manually save the games I am interested in reviewing.

Thx,

Ed

Apart from a corruption of the database or program there's only one other option: you specified another database to automatically store your games in. In that case a repair installation might help.
But if you only refer to games you play online remember they are not saved in this database but in the MyInternetGames database. This is correct behaviour.

From the help file:
Quote:
All games are automatically saved in the database called Autosave, which can be found in the directory My Documents\ChessBase. It is also in the dropdown list of the database window.

All the games played on the chess server will be automatically saved in a file called MyInternetGames.

Now the autosave is working. The behavior was always correct when playing on the internet as all my games in PlayChess.com were automatically saved to MyInternetdatabase. However when only playing on the program, Fritz 12, the behavior was wrong as my games with Fritz weren't automatically saved. What worked for me was to update to version 17. All my old games with Fritz then appeared and now all recent games are being automatically saved. The old apparently corrupted autosave data base is also present.
