I think that Houdini would be able to beat all of the top players in the world right now. Including Magnus Carlsen! The only hope for a human opponent is to play bizarre anti-computer chess moves, which aim to confuse the silicon beast! I like the examples on this page. They are a little out-of-date...

Welcome to the forum! :) A free program like Chesscat will let you read pgn files. I don't know of a free program that reads cbh files - I think it is a proprietary format.

It looks quite impressive to me. Nicely rendered pieces and board. The piece design is stylish but still easy to distinguish the pieces from each other. I think that legal issues mean that the Battle vs Chess software is not going to see the light of day.
